I am also in the same situation. I cannot find the solution ANYWHERE!
Bootcamp - I am able to download the windows support and burn it to a disc. However once I have decided the space to partition for my windows hd - it keeps asking me to insert the install disc (windows 7). I insert the disc and it will NOT recognize the disc.
I am trying to install windows 7 32bit and i have the latest os with all of the updates. my computer is also compatible with windows 7 installation.
please help me!

you tell us some facts behind this and someone might be able to offer help.
surprised we aren't able to just pull fix out of thin air?
Superdrive
trying to use USB-DVD

And you burned it at the slowest speed ??
no (8x) it depends on speed of burning ??
Burn it again, at the slowest speed (2x).
ok thx
burning it again is not going to solve my issue. i know that my disc was burned properly (once mounted i am able to see all of the contents).
does the ISO image have anything to do with this? does anyone know?

No
If it was burned 'normally' it may even install... it will still fail.
If that new burn at slowest speed fails then look at the make of your DVD media which is less often but culprit at times nonetheless.
It matters.
Burn speed is 100% responsible for a lot of threads and qustions and having to anwser over and over... DU does not burn Wiindows 7 ISO or .exe properly "as is."
I bookmarked a thread with tips for this. There is even a utilty to help Macs burn Windows images.
okay i will try to reburn at the absolute slowest speed. and report back. of note i have a superdrive.
Okay totally lost on this. Last Mac I owned was a PowerBook. Have no clue as to how I adjust the disc burn speed. Help is no help. Took three hours to burn disc and Mac keeps telling me that I need to install the disc even though its in. There has to be a better way to do this.
Check that. It offers an Advanced screen before burning where it appears you could adjust the speed. However, there is no access to it so NO-GO. Still burning at 4x speed.
Well I feel like a moron. I just realized that the version I downloaded from my school is an UPGRADE Windows 7 and that's why I obviously could not partition using Bootcamp.
Now I have to figure out 32/64bit and cannot see anything after EFI in my system - ugh this is why I dislike non-apple products!
