I live in Florida. Being retired, I enjoy sitting by the pool or fishing from my boat, listening to my collection of music on my iPhone 4S. Many months of the year are quite hot. How can I keep the iPhone cool in the hot sun so I will not get temperature warnings?

Thanks Kappy, for overstating the obvious! But I do not have an umbrella, rather I am in the direct sun most of the time. Keeping it in an enclosed case sometimes helps, but not often. I also cannot reliably put it inside a cooler filled with beer or margaritas, as I am afraid of getting it wet, and sometimes, the cooler is not close enough to me.
I was hoping to find someone who knows of a foolproof iPhone "cooler" case.
There's no such animal. Keeping it in shade or in your pocket are probably your only options. If it's in direct sunlight it will overheat. That can also damage the screen.
