where can I find iBooks author for 10.6.8

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and want to use ibooks author but cannot find one that works on this system. Is there anywhere to go? I'm not sure I want to upgrade to Lion yet.

Sorry, but it's only available for Lion or later.

iBA requires Lion 10.7.2 and up, so you need to get off the fence if you want to use it 🙂
