Found a File Named '[' in ~user/bin...What is it?

Mac OS X Mavens,

Just noticed a file with the name '[' in my ~user/bin file...on both an iMac and MacBook Air running OS X Lion. On both machines, the file size is 43120, and the date is Jul 20 2011...the same date as most of the files in /bin (e.g., bash, cat, chmod, etc.).

Here's an excerpt from cat ~user/bin [:

???q??

Could it be something left over from an Apple installer?

What do you think; any ideas?

Thanks!
