iOS 5.1.1 Software Update - Problems

Further to the below update, I have been unable to
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1521

  1. Open some already downloaded Apps such as Free Music

  2. Having issues opening Safari (Browser) and opening a Google Search, but works intermittently

  3. App store issues, where any app updates freezes and cancels

  4. Connectivity issues, again intermittent.

These issues have been evident since the new Apple 5.1.1 iOS update.

Was wondering if anyone had any Tips to overcome this or whether Apple iOS planned to release another update to fix the items that need fixing on the iPhone 4S.

P.S - Does anyone know the new way of hiding the bookstand as since the prior 5.1 release I am unable to prize the Bookstand in a folder on its own, so again tips and workarounds welcome.

Thankyou in advance

I also have a problem with the new update! Apps that are already downloaded on my phone will not load, safari will not load, and email will not load here and there. It usually doesn't work at all after 10 pm which is odd. It's my phone, husbands, and daughters all having same issue. It's not Internet because I can still use desktop. Didn't check IPAD or Mac book but I did not up date those so they should work. We all have 4S!

This is driving me crazy!!!

With iOS 5.1.1 my iPhone 4 freezes 2-3 times a day, It also randomly tries to reboot then freezes with the Apple logo on screen. Sometimes it randomly turns off (once or twice a day).

It always crashes with the Apple logo in screen when in standby mode after 1-2 hours.

Sometimes opening an app or scrolling lags for several seconds.

I encountered problems with the volume of my Ipad 3.

1) Except when I use skype and "Talking Babies", there is no sound coming out of speakers in all applications specially video and music.

2) There is sound when I use the ear phones but will malfunction after a few minutes.

I think this is really a software problem because if it is a hardware issue then the speakers would not work at all. Am I correct?

I hope Apple will have an option to revert back to the old IOS in case the updated software is more of a problem than a solution.

We should be enjoying the New Ipad and not wanting to smash it to the wall!

I as well as a coworker are having issues as well. I can not send or receive emails and too have done all the resets and delets and reenters. I have also been to the Genius at my local Apple Store and still do not have my issues resolved. The message I get is "account can't be verified" or "unable to connect to the server". My IT person has not been able to resolve the issues as well.

I am fighting through a very similiar problem. Once the IPhone 4S updated to 5.1.1, i lost all voice and SMS capability. Interestingly, the 3G still works... i have tried to reload it, only to get the surprise the software update is actually a firmware update! ugh. From the word on the streets this issue isn't that rare. Its about this time, i am hoping Apple pulls through with a patch otherwise, i have a very expensive iTouch.

I did too....some things worked, some didn't.

My husband took mine to the Apple Store today while I was at work, so didn't see the whole thing, but....he toggled the mute button on the side next to the volume adjustment, and it works. I know I didn't hit that button; not sure if it reset wrong with the new update? But worth a try to toggle it.

I have problems with incoming calls, as well as making calls. I have to play with the mute button, or make sure applcations are not running in the background. The mute button I am talking about is on the screen. Also the phone now freezes and can sometimes reboot when it gets locked up when an icoming call rings the phone.

I had no issues with the previous update. I did the update to 5.1.1 OTA
