Q: Can I use a 667 ddr2 memory stick instead of 800 ddr2?
Hi. My iMac currently has a 1Gig 800 DDR2 memory stick inserted and I was wondering if I can add a 1Gig 667 DDR2, or do I have to use another 800 DDR2?
Just wondering if I have to buy another one, or use the one I already have but has different speed.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6)

It sounds like you have an iMac Early 2008 model which does require the 800 MHz DIMM's. I wouldn't chance putting a slower DIMM in your system. IF it were the other way around I would have a different response.
