What does a red screen mean?

If the entire screen is a red tint, it means both the blue and the green video pins are out of commission, or the video cable is not properly hooked up.

Finally someone with an answer! I am having the same problem with my ipad 2 and I thought it was the LCD and replaced it but I am still having the same problem. Now is it something I can replace on my own.
