I am on the forth step - when I double click the home button it does nothing.
I've tried restarting, I have the latest software, etc.
I supopse I'll go to reinstalling the apps that are not working. Will take me a bit to do that.
Thanks for your help.
alot of apps do this its the i[pod ram that runs low and make the app/game cut home and go back to the home screen
This probably explains it. Do you know if I reduce the amount of podcasts, photos, etc on the Ipod it this would help. I know that is space, as opposed to RAM - jsut wondering if that will aleviate the issue?
Thanks
closeing all running app in the backround will help as when there still running there using a low amount of ram
press the home buttons 2times and u will c a list of apps that are running in the backround hold one in till u c the red line tap it and it will close
I don't think there are any other apps running.
When I double click the home either nothing happens or I get a keyboard to search the iPod?
when u double click on the home button does the home page slide up and show apps below which you can slide across from left to right?
When I double click home I get the the first page of the home page (showing apps - this is the normal home screen page that I see when the iPod is on) and then I get the iPod search screen(with the key board at the bottom).
Try double-click faster or slower, your button is probably used. Also try clicking heavier or lighter on the button.
(sorry for my english - is it correct? đ)
your english is perfect.
it does not matter how fast, slow, soft or hard I double click - I only get the iPod search screen.
You said you have a 2g iPod. The 2G does not support multitasking and thus the recently used/running apps do not appear when doubleclicking the Home button.
Does that also mean that nothing is running in the background?
Is the RAM only being used by the app I am currently running?
Uh, that's a 2G. Sorry...
Nothing should be running in the background, as multitasking is disabled for 1G and 2G models.
You can always try resetting your iPod (hold Home+Power button until you see the Apple logo)
Restoring iOS firmware often helps too. Just backup your data first!
Before restoring, try reinstalling the faulty apps.
I would suggest making a backup first before doing anything...
