SPEAKER NOT WORKING. HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM?
iPhone 4S
First, you STOP SHOUTING. Typing in all caps is considered shouting and is very rude. Many will not even bother to answer such posts.
Which speaker are you talking about, and what have you done thus far to troubleshoot? Have you taken all the troubleshooting steps recommended in the User Guide?
Thanks for the info about being rude. That is not what my problem was about and this was the first time I have ever ask a question. So before u say that is rude. It was rude of u to come out and say it like that also. I work in a hospital and everthing I do is in caps lock so I didn't think that I was being rude but I will figure out the problem myself.
Thanks for nothing.
You're very welcome.
Is this for real???? Omg dude if the caps bothered you so much then don't reply anyway this forums are to solve issues who cares about caps.
Anyways let's stop the tempera drums I have a similar issue tell me if sounds work on headphones or dock station? Let me know all the symptoms or if it simply doesn't work at all. Let's see if we can help each other.
Is this the same issue? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3954258
Does it work if you put the call on speakerphone?
I have the same problem, I can not hear the phone ring, I can hear voice messages, but not on speaker. I can listen to Audio Books on docking station and ear buds.
Have you fixed your problem?
Hey i have a similar issue everythings work when it's on headphones but without them i can't listen music or watch videos from youtube.. please help!
i have iphon5, its speaker is not working. i cant hear music and call on speaker phone.
plz help me
so what caused it to stop working? did you get it wet?
Have same problem since doing upgrade to iOS 6.1
its a hardware issue ... just slightly press the area around the front camera in iphone and u will be able to hear the voice..
Is it possible the iPhone is stuck in headphone mode?
If not then I would test the software
Update to the newest iOS
Then:
1. Open Settings > General
2. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on ‘Reset’.
3. Select Reset All Settings > Tap button to Reset All Settings > Tap Button Again to continue. Apple makes you click through twice, to be sure that you really, truly mean it.
It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy.
If the issue still persists then back up your device to iCloud or iTunes
Restore your device in iTunes, this will install a fresh iOS
I would then test the device as new, try it without the back up at first
If the issue still remains after setting the device up as new then it is definitely hardware
If not you can restore from your back up from iTunes or sign into iCloud to get your information back
