I've recently bought the songs Payphone and Call me Maybe, but when I go to play them on my ipod, it just skips to the next song and won't play these two at all. I also have a Ke$ha song that does this, but all of my other songs work.

Do these problem tracks play all the way through in iTunes? Have you worked through all of the suggestions in this Apple support document yet?

No, I don't mean it skips during parts of the songs, I mean it skips the WHOLE song, it's so stupid. The song doesn't even start. the ipod just sort of acts like the song doesn't even exist, and it just goes right on to the next song without even starting these three songs I'm having trouble with. It doesn't play the songs on my ipod or on iTunes. I don't know what's wrong with it because all of my songs are fine besides those. It's just so weird.
Aha! Good to know. Have you tried redownloading them again via iCloud? They may have been corrupted somehow during the download process.

Hey planb77. I'm having exactly the same issue as eggrolls and went to redownload the purchases, but there isn't a cloud icon to click in order to download it again. It's just a greyed out button next to each song saying "downloaded". Any suggestions?
You need to delete these previous downloads from your iTunes library and PC. Then the iCloud button should become available (versus being grayed out).

Thanks, B-rock. This helped a bit, but when I deleted those particular albums and redownloaded them with icloud, new songs on the album started to be skipped this time. The songs being skipped earlier are ok now, but now new songs won't play. This is really starting to annoy me! Thanks for any help you can send my way 🙂
The only thing I can suggest is to remove just the tracks you are having problems with and redownload them once again. If it continues, contact iTunes support.

Hey planb77 I think what I am dealing whit is similar but do I this I pod5 and I bought 3 song and out of those 3 one of them won't play.its similar to eggrolls question and its the first song on my playlist and when I press it to play it just skips the whole song and its on to the next one any suggestions???? Me too - I'm actually trying to uncheck 'sync all songs' then itunes warns it will remove all songs, which I let it do. I'm hoping a full resync will do the trick...
Odd thing is, after the sync, there are anywhere from 5 to a dozen and a half songs left on the ipod, and subsequent attempts to uncheck them haven't yet resulted in an ipod with no music.
It's a bit puzzling, isn't it?
