    Any photos or media have to be in a folder called "DCIM" on the root of the card.

    Otherwise the iPad will not see them.

    For photos

     

     

    If you are copying the photos onto the card yourself then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them on the card

    If you don;t satisfy those two requirements the iPad won't read your files. In addition, it only works for photos or videos. Documents, any other sort of file are not seen by the iPad's operating system

    Has it ever worked, or is this a new problem? What size SD card? Have you tried a different SD card?

     

    Make sure the CCK adapter is fully seated into the side of the iPad.
