I'd like to make a DVD of about four movies that I made. Is it possible to use iDVD with FCPX for this? iDVD has some good themes I'd like to use. I see that within FCPX there is a DVD share option but I don't think it gives you the nice themes that iDVD does.

Use export media. Take the exported files to iDVD.

Thank you. I believe when I used iMovie I could export directly to iDVD. Seems that option has disappeared from FCPX.

I don't mind exporting them to my desktop first. I just hope I get a good quality when I do it.

I have another question about this. Since I have to export the files to my desktop and then take them into iDVD, what format (mp4, etc.) do I use to take them into iDVD or doesn't it matter? I ask this because I am not sure what iDVD does with the files to make sure the videos can be watched on both Windows and Apple computers.

I said use export media. It makes a QuickTime in ProRes. Depending on your format you're working in, this will work in most instances. iDVD creates a standard MPEG-2 DVD.
