My apple ID was keyed incorrectly on start up of new iPad. So the email address is wrong and I cannot verify as I do not get the verification emails? Help anyone?

Apple Id was set incorrectly, so the verification emails do not come through. Now my new iPad is locked in to an apple id that I cannot verify and so I cannot use download any apps that I need. Does anyone have solutions?
