Q: I am trying to install updates (6 to be exact) and none of the updates will install. Says that an error occured and none of my updates have installed......very confused

Are you using Software Update? Read this: Troubleshooting Mac OS X installation and software updates (Mac OS X v10.6 and earlier)

Try downloading the standalone updates directly from this page http://support.apple.com/downloads/

Search for the updates you need and download them from there. Software Update will be made aware that you have updated them when their installer packages complete.

If reading what John Galt suggested, try to run the updates starting with the most important, if system update, begin with it. After restart, do the other ones. If not a secret, what are these updates you want to install?
