My ipod is stuck on do not disconnect
My ipon is frozen on "do not disconnect" and the itunes software isn't recognizing it when I try to download. Any suggestions?

Try resetting the iPod to see if that helps. To do this, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
