Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

How do I choose between a Macbook pro 13 inch 2.8GHz Dual Core and 15 inch 2.2Ghz Quad core.

I only want to use it for editing photographs in Photoshop and sometimes to edit HD videos on final cut pro.

Is 4GB enough? According to system requirements for Final cut pro, 4GB is recommended.

I would prefer a 13inch screen rather than a 15 inch as it will be easy to carry around in the field; screen size hardly matters.

Any insight that helps would be appreciated.

Thanking you.

The 13" is totally inadequate for this sort of "pro" use.

It's a consumers level MacBook with the "Pro" name, it will heat up like a frying pan under this sort of strain and you will be unhappy.

It has no dedicated graphics, all CPU graphics.

Either get the top end

15" anti-glare with 8GB of RAM, 7,200 RPM drive if you order it online, or the

17" anti-glare with 8GB of RAM, 7,200 RPM drive.

Would be the best choice as you get a full 1080+ HD screen on there for accurate video (1920 x 1200 pixels actually) and boy it's really sweet.

For video you need as many cores as possible, the MacPro would really be the ultimate choice, but it's not portable.

See this video about the glossy screen and why you don't want one.
