do a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

If a reset doesn't help, try these steps as needed, as described in the User Guide, Appendix B:
1. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
2. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
3. Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup.

If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware problem in the phone.
my iPhone freezes i can not slide or do anything cant even power off. i have done a reset same thing happens.
I Would first check for a software update settings>general>software update. If it's up to date then i would move on to a back up and restore of the device.
