Q: What could be a reason if my battery is draining out in 2 -3 hours from (fully)charging.  I have all app. closed when this is happening.

What could be a reason if my battery is draining out in 2 -3 hours from (fully)charging.  I have all app. closed when this is happening.

Also the phone gets very hot during charging occationally. As per the tech at the Apple store the battery seems good.

    Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.

    Have you tried ALL the troubleshooting steps?  If you have and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible exchange.
