I had my card on Itunes, used it several times and then my son went over his limit a couple of times, so I took my card off. When my son wanted something, went in to put some money on the account, it would not accept the same card!

We went and bought a gift card.

Tried again today because I want to download a movie and guess what, first off I cannot remember my security questions, cannot find a way to get those reset. Ok, I'll just buy on Itunes, it still won't accept my credit card. And I hate, hate their customer service.

I am having the same issues with my son's gaming account. I don't know what's going on. At least with the gaming site I could talk to a real person, however, what he said did not help.

I bought an album for £4.99 on itunes, at the very start of july. My bank told me the money had been deducted, and so did itunes initially. However a few days ago it told me the T&C have changed, and so i needed to update my security code or something, and that i had an outstanding debt of £4.99. Bear in mind this was a few days ago, i am shocked, angered and confused. I paid the money for the album and yet there was no receipt sent to me, and itunes is now asking me to cough up more money again, is the money i paid not enough? and also, the support is terrible, it's like they have no knowledge to deal with this kind of stuff. I will have no choice but to pay when i can. For gods sake im only 16 im not exactly loaded!

I had a very similar problem. I used a Prepaid Vanilla Mastercard to purchase Minecraft Pocket Edition, and it worked just fine. However, when I went to update some of my apps, the billing info insisted that my card SN was wrong. I checked on iTunes and it states that "We were unable to authorize your credit card for this purchase. Please update your billling info" and that I owe $7.83.

Anyone else know how to bypass this without hosing myself out of the money? I can't get a credit card until the end of next summer when I turn 19.

Did you get a solution ? I have a similar problem too. I have had my account going on for a long time on the same credit card I am using now. It was working fine till all of a sudden when I tried updating some apps its giving me the message that "We are unable to authorize your payment card for this puchase. Please update your billing info .. " there is nothing to update and I don't know why its not working. Maybe I will also try talk to the bank ...
