Netork Start Up Problem

Just got my new Ipad. while setting it up got the the select a network. Chose our home Verizon net work and put the network name in the password field. Now it won't give me an password error message or let me go back to enter in the correct password. off to a horrible start!

If there is way to continue or to back out, restart the iPad and see if you can start all over again.

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button

That is not the way that I read your original post. I'm sorry. The iPad obviously is not seeing the network.

Try rebooting your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Restart the iPad again as well.

Reboot the router and wait for about a minute after you plug it back in before you start the iPad again. So shut the iPad off completely while the router is rebooting and setting up again. Then start the iPad again.

OK, gave that a try. Did not work. I tried connecting to my wife's broad band card and same thing. It looked like it kept trying to make the connection but could not. I know the home router and her card is working.

Is it possible I changed a setting on the Ipod some how? It is brand new and I have had just gotten to the third set up page to select the network. It found our home one. It asked me for the password and I put the network name in the passord box instead of the password. Never got past that. Thanks for your help Demo. Really appreciaate it.
