May 17, 2012 9:03 PM in response to kimrixby John Galt,Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ then
- Click "Manage your account"
- Sign in with your Apple ID and password
- Click the blue link "Add Email Address"
- Enter the email address in the field that appears. It cannot be the same as your Apple ID / primary email.
- Click the button "Save Changes"
You will need to respond to and follow the instructions in the email sent to that address to verify it. You should get the email immediately. If you do not, check your spam folder. If you use webmail (gmail, etc) you might need to check the spam folder in the webmail's page. Check the webmail page's trash folder also - it is possible for some to delete spam immediately. It is also possible for some to empty the trash immediately, so verify those settings as well.
Once verified, you can delete any email address(es) you no longer need or wish to use.
I don't know what others have suggested but if something in the above does not work please let me know which step is not working for you.

May 23, 2012 11:45 AM in response to John Galtby PRHawkeye,I'm having the same problem and that doesn't work for me. My new primary email address is not showing on the 'Manage your Name, ID, and Email Addresses' page at all (I've deleted it as a secondary email address). I still get the red text error message "This email address cannot be the same as your Rescue Email."
Help!!!

Jun 6, 2012 6:54 AM in response to Kingy1by John Galt,If you must answer your security questions before arriving at the page that allows you to change them, you must contact iTunes Support:
http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.htmlYou will get a response within a day. Be sure to check your spam or junk email folders for it.
