Q: How do I 'turn off" Compatibility Mode in Windows, iTunes alert suggests it?

When I plug in my ipod, my i Tunes freezes up.

I tried to troubleshoot and i Tunes tells me to Turn off Compatibility Mode.  Can't figure out how to do that and don't know if doing this will resolve my issue of my itunes freezing up when I plug in the i Pod.
