Q: iPod classic isn't responding to anything what do I do?

I just got my iPod classic this Christmas. Tonight it stopped responding to to touch on the wheel. I tried locking and und unlocking it, the screen is still black. I tried to reset it with the menu and center buttons, the only thing that happens is the fan starts moving. I've also tried to charge it on my radio clock, nothing, tried turning it on nothing, tried playing it on the clock radio again nothing, and it won't read on my iTunes account on the computer. Is there anything else I can do or do I bring it to the Apple store, which is about 25 mi north of me and my van is a gas guzzler? I'm so frustrated, my iPod is something I love to use. I have 1,000+ songs and music is my life.

Most likely your iPod battery is totally flat, and it takes about 30 minutes of connecting it to a power source like the PC or wall charger, before you see any life on the screen.

Once you get the screen alive, with one of this sign,

charging charging charging, half full charging, three-quarters full

leave it charging for at least 2 hours, or preferably 4 hours.

    Have a nice day!

It's been charging on a regular wall plug for 1 hr already and nothing has changed. I will keep it plugged in, but I really dont think that's the problem. I had a full battery all day and was playing it in the car this afternoon. It was fine until I got home tonight around 6:00 pm EST. But again I will keep it plugged in all night on the wall charger all night.

If you still got blank on your iPod Screen after 1 hour of charging,

    1. Try another USB cable, or another USB port for another 30 minutes.
    2. Look at the bottom Dock connector, and ensure that there is no dirt or any foreign particles.

If both doesn't help, then unfortunately, you have to bring it in to Apple Store, for the Genius to have a look for water damage. ( a sure sign is blank screen, even when connected for charging)
