does iphone ever support rsap in future

Hy everybody

I’m driving an Audi. To get the full advantage of it’s handy support like data transmission or using the external antenna the handy that connects with bluethoot to the car needs to support the rsap protocol.

All Statements in this forum say that the Iphone 4(s) will not support rsap. But I did’n find a official statement from apple to the future concerning the rsap support.

If anybody could help I would appreciate.

Hi

Thanks for your answer. So I'm not very hopeful that the iphone rsap will ever support. Just a little comment to your argument. In my point of view rsap und bbap ar not equal in functionality. As far I overlook the topic my car uses at the moment pbap und hfp (handsfree profile) with the iphone in order to show and use the adresses und to talk over the built in speakers and mikros.

Additionally to this the car would be able to transmit data over the Handynet and use the car antenna instead of the handy antenna. But this options only work with rsap. So there could still be some motivation für appel to support rsap ;-)

Regards

Andreas

PS

I will use youre link to put the question directly to apple
