Getting error when attempting to sync stating folder cannot be found after being forced to do a restore.

i was forced to do a restore as my old computer died and I could not longer access my itunes. After doing this it restored my 2nd generation ipod but now when it syncs in itunes it gives that folder could not be found. I thought it was an issue with my downloads so I erased them all and redownloaded but still giving error. then it prompts to ensure disc drive and internet are working but they are i think.

Ive checked all three USB hubs and they are working fine. After finally attempting to re-sync it gave me a different error this time after I performe one more restore, it gives me unknown error -124. then it will sync about 5 songs and that is it. I think its missing some software because it gave me a message with three different links to restore software but when I attempt to download it says the file cannot be downloaded from the apple support site. Its an older nano generation 2 version. I dont think I will ever get it to work again 😟

Are you talking about hubs or ports that are directly located on your PC? If it's a HUB, then you need to switch to a USB port located directly on the PC itself. Is this a laptop or desktop PC?

Have you tried a complete uninstall of iTunes yet using the instructions in this Apple support document?

This is on my laptop sorry for the confusion, all I attempted was to reinstall itunes but never fully disabled or uninstalled all products like quick time etc. I am about to attempt this now and see if it works. I can say one thing I have a new Asus Laptop and when I had the new version of Itunes it had a little shield on it and would say when I opened that it was running in compatabilit mode because the new download was not compatible with my system. I have 64 bit and that is what I selected from Itunes and it gave that error. I am going to retry and cross my fingers hoping it will fix!

Well I uninstalled all items and then went through the whole download process again. At first it stated that it was not compatible with my system but I removed the compatability mode and it started to show up normally. But when I would sync with my cord I noticed that it would start the sync then stop. I think the cord was damaged. so I went and purchased a new one today and tada!!!!! Drumroll!!!!! it worked perfectly!!! 😁
