"ok but if im playing a game, or i have my own app i wrote...will it work ? its not a video, just something that interacts with a server"

Nope, sorry. Composite / component cables cannot be used for anything BUT video playback.

From your own apps, you can only use the HDMI or VGA cables.

You should consider getting a TV set (or monitor) with a VGA / HDMI input as VGA / HDMI -> composite converters are 1, expensive 2, still deliver horrible quality.

1. Why don't you purchase it from Apple? I'd be wary with eBay sellers - and, after all, Apple posts their stuff everywhere, even if you live in a country without a localized Apple store webpage or local (physical) Apple stores.

2. when it comes to adapters / cables like these, NEVER purchase ANYTHING non-Apple-manufactured! Most of the cheap(er) knock-offs don't work! That is, don't try to save on going for a cheaper alternative - it most likely won't work.

Only videos and photos can be displayed on an external display if you use the Composite / Component cables, sorry. Third-party apps can't display e.g. Web pages or notes.

Consider getting a better TV and a VGA or HDMI adapter - or, instead of an adapter, an AppleTV (which isn't too expensive either) and using AirPlay, which is already built into the iPad 2 and 3. (The latter, however, is slower and lower-resolution than the cabled approach, which can even output 1080p video.)
