Applications keep crashing after 10.7.4 update
Hello everybody.
since the last OS X update to 10.7.4 my MPB has been going nuts. Apps have kept crashing on launch, the console has been filling up with the same random crap over and over again and I really don't know what this all is about.
Basically I can't open anything anymore, well. Almost anything: Safari, Chrome, Skype, Scrivener, Quicksilver, and the Kindle App have been crashing directly on launch. Other apps like Mail, iCal, Eclipse and Messages work fine though.
In the console a script has kept coming up, the DeathAdder.Control something bla. It kept telling me that:
Objc[311]: Class is implemented in both /Sysm/Library/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit AND /System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit. One of them will be used. Which one is undefined
(the console output).
Now I used App Cleaner to get rid of it, deleted anything I could find on the computer that had to do with that and not the console keeps filling with the same statement, coming from a different thread:
"com.apple.qtkitserver: objc[601]: Class is implemented in both ... (same as above)"
Anyone got any idea what I can do? I tried navigating to the directory but Terminal doesn't show a folder called "AppKit.framework" so I can't see what the fuzz is about. Especially because both paths lead to the same directory...Did Apple majorly screw something up in their firmware update? Or is something in my libraries wrong? I tried accessing the Lion recovery partition but I somehow can't boot from it anymore O.o strange. Also I'm sort of in the process of moving right now, so I have no idea where my Lion USB stick is :/
Anyway, I hope there is someone that can help me with it. It'd sure be nice to use something else than the Terminal again 😝
Thanks in advance
