How can I print from an Icon without opening document like i can do in windows, example: in Windows i right click an select print without having to open multiple documents and then print.

In Mac OS X, right-clicking the document's icon brings up a similar menu, but documents are printed from the application, not from the OS. The application is launched, the document opened,and the document sent to the printer, bypassing only the Print dialogue.
The same route may be triggered by dragging and dropping the file's icon onto the printer's icon in the Dock.

Thanks ! this was very helpful, I made a printer iconn on my desktop and was able to drag and drop files into it and print from it!
How can i print from an icon in numbers like I do in windows, for example right click on icon (excel file), then select print without opening document
