My trackpad is too sensitive, clicking even when I've hardly touched it. Suggestions?

As ridiculous as this may seem IT IS A BATTERY PROBLEM. As Lithium batteries age they may generate gas that causes the cells to bulge applying stress to the tracpad and making it totally neurotic. To check remove the battery and run the computer on the plug in power supply. If this fixes the problem buy a replacement battery. This will cost you at Apple but is less than $30 for the same thing at several of Amazon’s retailers.
