Q: I'd like to find 1995-ish wallpaper: tiled purple digital cat faces

I couldn't find any, but then I'm not sure what I was looking for... do you have some pics of purple cat faces?

Is this what you are referring to? This desktop pattern came with later versions of System 7.

Your query was of interest so I searched my 7.6 installation CD and used TomeViewer to extract the desktop patterns from the system install tome. There are many patterns including the cat tile one you like. Unfortunately none of the names could be found. In the pattern control panel there is a larger composite picture which could be stitched together with a graphic paint app for a larger image.
