Q: battery for ipod classic no longer holding a charge for long

I have a 3 year old Ipod Classic (120GB) that does not appear to hold a charge for very long now!

Is this just the battery running down and needing replacement?

Yes. Have it replaced by either Apple or a third party repair company. Batteries lose their ability to maintain capacity over time and die.
