Are the results of the Apple Hardware Test stored on the hard drive in a flat file? I would like to see them after I reboot.

I was hoping for a log location, as well. After a bit of digging, it looks like the

the results of the last Apple Hardware Test that was run are listed in the system specifications.

If you don't have a camera handy or missed the results because your system rebooted on its own (my case), you can do a couple different things in Terminal to see the results of the last Apple Hardware Test that was run:

    (1) Output your system specs to a file on your Desktop, open the file in a text editor and search for the term: Apple Hardware Test

    system_profiler -detailLevel all > /Users/your_user_account/Desktop/my_system_specs.txt

(Make sure to first replace your_user_account with your user account name.)

    (2) Output your system specs to the Terminal screen, but only display the results of Apple Hardware Test. In my case, I needed to output five lines (5), but you may need to experiment with that number to get the right number of lines after (-A) the term, Apple Hardware Test (or use suggestion #1):

    system_profiler -detailLevel all | grep Apple\ Hardware\ Test -A 5

    Here's my output:

    Apple Hardware Test:

    Last Run: 9/4/13 8:34 PM

    Version: 3A222

    Loop Count: 1

    Result: Passed
