Q: Apple TV color problem

Bought a new 3rd generation Apple TV. The menu screen, podcasts, etc., show up on TV with very poor color. The white is blown out like an overexposed photo. Can't read text in podcasts. Older ATV was much better. Much easier to watch on my MBP17" than on TV. Is there an obvious place to check (ATV, Panasonic TV) to fix this?

If your TV has the color correction wizard which allows you to change the color settings for each input, reset the one for the HDMI port which the ATV3 is using. Also make sure that your HDMI cable is facing the right way, many cables have a directional arrow indicating that it should be hooked up this way: ATV3 >>> TV, that guarantees best audio and color...

Don't know why, but the Panasonic remote has a Menu button that doesn't get me to any menu :-( Meanwhile, no arrows on the HDMI cable but I switched if anyway to see if it helped. It didn't. Meanwhile, should I leave the HDMI and TV resolution settings in the **ATV menu** on Auto? Might there be some combination that would work? - - tried a few, but there are a lot of combinations.

Your TV does support full 1080p 60Hz right?

Checked the manual to be sure. It says 1080p 60Hz is supported.

Yes, I've tried changing from Auto to all three of the options below.

I've sent a message to Panasonic product support to see what they say. Meanwhile, I thank both you and Sonicray
