PhotoSync not working?

I just downloaded the PhotoSync app onto both my iPhone 4 and MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard). However, when I try to use PhotoSync to sync all my photos from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro, I get an error message telling me to check my wifi settings - even though both of my iDevices are connected to the same wifi network. I get the same error message when I try to use PhotoSync to sync the pictures from my iPhone 4 to my iPad 2, as well. Is there any way that I could fix this error, please?

Hi..

When you have problems with an app, first thing to try is contacting the app developer > http://www.photosync-app.com/photosync/en/contact.html

And check out their connectivity questions here > http://www.photosync-app.com/photosync/en/help/connectivity.html

Helps when you post to tell us which Mac OS X you have installed when you post.

If you are running Lion v10.7.2 or later, instead of using a third party app you can enable iCloud and sync your photos using Photo Stream via Wi-Fi between your Mac and iOS devices. You get 5GB of storage for free.

I had same issue but I could transfer from phone to phone and from mac to phone just not to the mac

Delete the application from your mac and the folder where the pics go (empty it 1st)

Find the DMG Download of Photosync and re-install the software - just download it again from the website if you deleted it

Should work straight away.

I doubt there is an issue with your wifi network although look in the help section on the phone app and look at question 6 as some routers are a problem.

What evidence do you have that your devices are actually connected to your wi-fi, other than they say that they are? iOS devices and Macs report false connections all of the time, as do everyone else's devices. Are you able to do other things over wi-fi?

Go to Settings/Wi-Fi and click the arrow to the right of the network the device says that it is conncting with. What is the IP address? If it is a 169... IP, its not connected and is timing out when the router doesn't hand out a connection and self assigning an IP.

I just tried deleting and re-installing PhotoSync onto my Mac. Unfortunately it's not working when I tried syncing the pictures from my iPhone. The message I got was:

Error.

An error occurred during the transfer.

Please check your Wi-Fi connection.

Nope it's not a 169-something IP. According to my iphone's settings, my IP address is reflected as 10.1. ... . Yes I'm able to do other online stuff using my Wi-Fi connection e.g. check my emails, log into Facebook, surf the Internet, etc. It's just syncing photos using PhotoSync which can't be done. I am able to select my MacBook from the list of devices on both my iPhone and iPad, and I get the "Preparing Sync" message, but instead of the photos transferring, the above message comes on, after a few seconds.

My router is a Netgear, 54mbps wireless ALDSL2 + modem router, DG834GU v5. I checked, and the PhotoSync FAQ doesn't seem to reflect this router as being a problem with connectivity.
