Just tried it again on the iPad and I now can't connect at all - this really is a stupid problem
After full reset problem still oniPad 3. Had to log in and out of store twice to get back in. Still got same problem - now same as iPhone - keep getting cannot connect to store but mulitiple tries in App Store update works - sometimes twice sometimes more before it works. Retry on dialogue box does not work.
I was having this exact problem starting last night... I went to bed thinking maybe Apple would have fixed it by morning... of course they didn't... I tried everything and nothing worked... I changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 didn't work. I logged out and back into my Apple ID, didn't work. I tried syncing my iPad with my Mac and seeing if I had any "pending downloads", didn't work. I restarted my Wi-Fi and router [although I am sure those were never the problem as my iPod Touch worked just fine with the App Store], didn't work. Finally, I just reset ALL settings and backed up from a previous backup, [I went back to June 28 just be sure lol]. So far, it appears to have fixed the problem, although now I have to delete apps I deleted weeks ago :/ but worth it to get it working again.
It seems that once I have managed one to update others sometimes then will straight away. Update all always fails and kicks off the process again.
I did that reset but it didn't work…
I signed out of iTunes and then back in. It took 3 tries with password, but got back in.
Beginning to think it is an App Store app issue - some apps update with multiple tries in App store update. Some need you to go through to the individual app. When it works you know because the iPad flips to the screen where the app is.
After about half an hour I have now managed to update allmy apps by perseverance.

Okay, apparently my reset did not work after all... I was able to download apps from the app store again for a little while but now it has returned to the "cannot connect to the iTunes store" error >:(
I tried that as well, didn't work for me. :/
I just started receiving this message for my ipad2 today; however, my old ipod (5.1.1) can update just fine. I've tried doing a few of the thing suggested in previous posts but they're not working for me either.
