Numbered Equations
How do you insert a numbered equation in ibooks Author? I am using MathType.

Thanks for pointing these out, but they don't address my question. I want to place a number next the equation, e.g.:
a = b + c [1]
and I want this number to be incremented sequentially with each new equation.

There is no way to do it, I guess. Not directly, just some very dirty workarounds. The only thing we can do is just send feedback and tell eeryone we know who has this problem to do as well. This is the best way to tell them what we need:

They included LaTeX and I was sure there is no way they will so maybe there is hope…
