Running Lion 10.7.4; using Apple TV generation one. When attempting to sync, get message saying to check and see if the iTune port is blocked. Question: How do I check a specific port to see if it is open?

You don't need to, just check your firewall settings and ensure that access is allowed to iTunes.

Check iMac Security/Privacy and added iTunes - same result whether firewall is on or off. Am running Norton on Comcast system.
Norton is known to be a bit of a problem, you might like to check with them or on their forums if they have them. Most Mac users won't use Norton, so I'm not sure you'll find too many users here that can help you.
