Even if you just now acquired an external iSight, the best it can be is NOS (new, old stock) because Apple discontinued external iSight many years ago.
To connect one of the old FW400 external iSight to your new Mac's Firewire 800 ports, you'll need a Firewire 400-800 cable or adapter such as one of the following:
