May 20, 2012 7:27 AM in response to balenbustby BGreg,When a system goes beep beep beep that means there is a memory hardware issue. You can try reseating the memory to see if that helps. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1651.
If reseating the memory does change the beep beep beep, if you have 2 memory cards, try swapping them, then try one at a time. If you know anyone else with a working MacBook, try their memory (make sure it's the same type as yours, however). If none of that works, then you'll need to bring your MacBook to an Apple store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for further diagnosis.
If your system isn't working, you could remove the hard drive (assuming there is final essay research material on it), and put it into an external case to be accessed by another mac.
