Q: where are my phone contacts stored and how would i find out are they on sim or in phone

where are my phone contacts stored and how would i find out are they on sim or in phone as I am buying a new 4s and want to know whether or not contacts will be on sim or in phone if in phone how do I transfer them to sim

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

The contacts are stored on the iPhone's memory, not the SIM.

iPhones do not use the SIM to record anyhing, everything is stored in the iPhone's memory.

Back your iphone up , or sync them to something on your computer MS OFFICE 2007/2011 , save them to icloud.
