my mac pro has 4 years already and the battery lasts for 10 minutes top. why should i do? get a new battery or what?

Do you mean a MacBook Pro, Mac Pros are big Desktop Computers?

Assuming you mean a Macbook Pro laptop and not the Mac Pro tower, then batteries wear out. 4 years is a long time for a battery to be in constant use. In general I've ended up replacing my laptop batteries about once ever 2 years, and at that time I'm often down to 30 to 45 minutes of battery life.
So if you are not ready to get a new Mac, by all means get a new battery.
