May 21, 2012 12:19 PM in response to HACKINT0SHby Stingray,I'm sorry my question wasn't clear... What I have is a Airport Extreme Time Machine and I want to extend the wireless to cover another part of the house that has no coverage at all. I bought a new Airport Extreme and I want to connect, bridge, extend, or what every the terminology is to that part of the house that doesn't have any wireless coverage. I'd rather connect another extreme to the Extreme Time Machine Airport instead of running Ethernet cable there.
My question is... what is the best way to configure both Extremes?
I hope that makes better since.

May 21, 2012 12:26 PM in response to Stingrayby Surasit_,For the best performance, it's always recommended to connect the 2*Extreme with wire of CAT5E or CAT6.
Anyway, I guess your question is to repeat the signal wirelessly. Thus, one of your Extreme should be set as a router in "Create a wireless network", and another Extreme should be set as a Repeater t in "Extend Wireless Network"

May 21, 2012 12:51 PM in response to Stingrayby Bob Timmons,My question is... what is the best way to configure both Extremes?
The Time Capsule is basically an AirPort Extreme with a built-in hard drive.
Using wireless only, Apple's instructions for this are here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4259
If you decide to use an Ethernet cable to connect the two devices together, (highly recommended if possible) then you would use the instructions in this support document:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4260
Both documents assume that you are using AirPort Utility 5.x.x to configure the devices.
If the Mac is using an updated version of the Lion operating system, the instructions will not track with AirPort Utility 6.0, which comes with Lion.
You will need to download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion to track with the instructions in the support document(s).
