Is there a way to delete empty desktops in Mission Control? There is a + to add them, what about removing ones you do not need?

Run your mouse pointer over a Desktop in Mission Control. You should see an 'X' in the upper left corner. Click that to delete the Desktop. You won't see the 'X' for Desktop 1.
Hold down the Option key in mission control and all the desktops that can be deleted will display an x.
What happens with a desktop if you have something open on it and you delete it? Does it get automatically reassigned to one of the other desktops?

Thanks captfred. Another tip I didn't know about. I guess I should experiment more with the Option key! 🙂
Yeah, it does some cool things throughout the UI. Whenever I'm somewhere in the interface, I always hit option to see what new stuff pops up.. 🙂
