How do I log in using Apple ID? It won't accept my password even after I changed it.

This is to log on to my new Mac Mini CPU.
Did you already go through the setip processon on first boot, or if this is on that, just use the ID & PW from what you use to log into this site.
I booted up. Used the Mac Mini. Shut it down. Was away for two weeks . Used the password I wrote down to boot up. It did not work. Thanks.
What OS version?
It's a Lion. Don't know the numbers as the Mini is loked up. It has the Intel 5.
Try booting up holding CMD+r to boot from the Restore Partition.
I do not see this "CMD+r " key on my keyboard.Thanks.
CMD key is just to the left of the space bar, often had other names & symbols, r key is right after q w e on qwerty KBs, just hold those 2 keys when booting. up
OK I did that. No effect.
I tried the next key to the left + r. No effect.
I tried the third key from the left + r. This time it opened a Mac utility window.
I reinstalled Mac X os Lion 10.7 from the internet.
My Mac mini still will not recognise my password.

When you get to the Utility Window again, look for a Reset Password or such.
Yes I did look, nothing there. That's why I reinstalled the OS.
Also, A message says: I can reset my password using my Apple ID. I think I did this, perhaps I missed a step?
Possibly, but I haven't done that yet.
I wonder if this still works in 10.7.x

Starts up like the first time you buy a new Mac, but after filling in all that info again, you should have access to the computer and the other Users & files will still be there... give the new User a different name than an existing one.
