iphone 4s will no shuffle songs but instead keeps repeating whatever one starts playing first. How do I fix this?

You must have repeat turned on. To turn it off, while the song is playing, tap the cover art to reveal the additional controls (see photo below). Then tap Repeat until it turns white (white is off, blue is on).

I used to have this screen but today, I notice that it is gone. The bar with repeat, genius n shuffle is gone. How do I turn it back on?

I am using iPhone 4s on version 6.0.1.

Are you saying that when you play a song and tap the screen you get playhead and scrubber bar, but not the other controls?

I do not get the scrubber bar n play head too... I just get the 3 lines in black where the song title, artist n album names are. I'll try to get pc access to insert screen shot later

In the meantime, try force-closing the Music app as follows: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Music in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap ➖ to close it, then tap the home button again. Then reopen Music, play a song, tap the screen (cover art) and see if the controls are visible now.

I tried force shutting it down and turning it back on and after I did that I accidentally

tapped on the centre and the scrubber and all appeared! :)
