Ipod Touch shows duplicate songs after purchasing from iTunes
I recently purchased an album from itunes and downloaded it onto my computer. After I synced my ipod touch, I would select the album on my ipod touch and see duplicates of each song even though there were no duplicates in my itunes library. The duplicates have a weird symbol beside the song title, which looks similar to the preview button on itunes (a square/stop symbol within a circle, within another circle). Also, the duplicates do not display the album art. I cannot swipe the duplicate songs to delete them, but I can swipe the originals to delete them. I’ve been reading up on this problem and some people claim that it occurs when they purchase albums through their ipod touch/iphones and try to sync them to their computer (I, on the other hand, purchased the album on my computer). Also, people with this problem claim they cannot play the duplicated songs. However, I can play both the original and duplicated songs (with the weird symbol). It’s just annoying to have 2 copies of the same song. Another user claims that it is a download symbol and that the circle will fill up with blue. Once it’s completed, I will be able to delete the duplicate. If this is true, does anyone know how long it will take to complete? I tried deleting the album from my itunes library and syncing it again, but the duplicates with the weird symbol stayed and only the originals were deleted on my ipod touch despite the album no longer being in my itunes library. I also tried redownloading the album from the itunes store but the duplicates are still present. I’ve purchased albums on itunes before and this never happened. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
