The iMac7,1 model is designated the 20-inch Mid 2007 model. It gas two RAM slots.

According to Apple, it has a max RAM capacity of 4.0GB (two 2.0GB modules).

According to McTracker, it has a max RAM capacity of 6.0GB (one 2.0GB module plus one 4.0GB module).

If the machine currently has just 1.0GB of RAM in it, then, yes, you can upgrade (increase the amount of) the RAM.
