I have MAC 10.6.8. I want to create interactive books and publish it on itunes store. could you please let me know ALL the steps, including what will be the charges?

first step - upgrade to Lion 10.7
no point in moving any further until you do that as you won't be able to publish anything until you do
The upgrade is in process and it will be done tomorrow. Could you please let me know what I should after I have upgraded it to Lion 10.7 and installed ibooks Author. After I have made the interactive book using ibooks Author what I should do in order to publish it on itunes store.
register for a US tax number - 2 weeks
Complete the iTunes partnership application - 2 weeks
Purchase ISBN numbers - 1 week
After waiting 5-6 weeks you will be reading to publish your book. Download iTunes producer once you have an itunes account and use it to publish your book
I am a resident of India and my company is not registered in US. Does that mean I cannot publish apps on Itunes store.

no it does not mean that. It means you have to call the IRS and register for an ITIN or an EIN number
