Q: USB to DVI A1082 Cinema Display Issues

I have a 2GHz i7 MBP. In the office I run two external monitors, both are Samsung 23" Syncmaster 2333.

One Samsung is from the Mini Display Port via Apple Mini Display to DVI adapter.

The second Samsung is from a K-World USB to DVI adapter.

These work fine.

I cannot make the K-World USB to DVI adapter paly nice with my A1082 23" Apple Monitor. I have two of these Apple DIsplays and want to replicate the set up. I have tried other USB adapters and agian, no joy.

Is there a USB Adapter in existence that works for these screens? I would hate to buy everyone on the market just to find one that works!

Any guidance or help greatly appreciated. I have been to over 4 Apple Stores, and get looked at like I have 2 heads.

Apple Cinema Display 23", Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Why not put the Apple Cinema Display into the Mini Display Port and use a Samsung Monitor with the K-World adapter?

The problem is that the K-World adapter only supports resolutions up to 1680x1050 and the Apple Display has a resolution of 1920x1200. There is no way possible to run that high resolution through your USB to DVI adapter.

    Hope this solves your question.

Thank you for replying! THis has been driving me demented for months now.

The Samsung monitors are supplied by my employer and the 2 x Apple 23" Cinema Displays are personal and at home.

The OCD in me wouldn't allow different monitors even if work allowed me to take one home......

The K-World adapter claims to support 1920 x 1080 so I suppose that is what is killing me. ****
