Hi I am new to Apple. I am looking for templates to write a cover letter and resume. Are there templates available on OS Lion?

Is Pages in OS Lion? Or do I have to purchase Pages?
The only word processor included with Mac OS X is TextEdit, which is extremely basic and does not have templates. You won't want to try to use TextEdit to produce any kind of professional correspondence like a cover letter or resume.
You can purchase Pages from the App Store for $20. You could buy Microsoft Office (which is serious overkill for something like this). Or you could get one of the free Office clones, OpenOffice, NeoOffice or LibreOffice.
